Brisbane based, South American artist, Monique Baqués, is showcasing her colourful oil-paintings at the Brisbane Square Library at the moment. Drawing inspiration from the many challenges we all faced in 2020, Baqués created a joyful, vibrant and colourful series of paintings to uplift all of our spirits at the end of 2020. Born in Argentina, based in Brisbane, the visual artist uses the language of colour to express deep feelings, represent her world and tell meaningful stories. Working with collage and oil on canvas, her work explores the relationship between colour, shape and space.
