Have you ever wondered about what predators awaited you deep in the sea millions of years ago? No? The answer is rather terrifying. Currently, Queensland Museum visitors have the chance to get up close and personal with the giant marine reptiles who used to roam our oceans and hunt the depths of the big blue. The Sea Monsters exhibition brings together real fossils from millions of years ago and giant replicas (including a 13 metre long Elasmosaur and a 9 metre Prognathodon) as well as hands on interactives, which put you right inside the action.
The museum is furthermore featuring an exciting ‘I Do! Wedding Stories from Queensland’ exhibition, the Queensland Museum makes its return. The exhibition showcases wedding garments, accessories and stories through a series of themes, revealing stories of evolving fashion, changing cultural traditions, heartbreaking circumstances and what it means to truly love. Last but not least, your little ones can explore the Spark Lab, where real life science is made fun and accessible for young kids.
