Sting in The Last Ship

Exclusive to Brisbane, THE LAST SHIP brings Sting’s acclaimed musical to QPAC’s new Glasshouse Theatre for a limited 2026 season. It marks the first time a global artist of Sting’s stature has taken up residency at QPAC.

Inspired by Sting’s childhood in the UK shipbuilding town of Wallsend, the musical follows a community facing the closure of their shipyard. Sting stars as Jackie White, a foreman battling declining health while guiding his town through crisis.

Featuring a rich score of folk, choral and signature Sting ballads, the production includes songs such as “Island of Souls”, “All This Time” and “When We Dance”, supported by immersive staging that brings the shipyard to life.
